On the occasion of Gudi Padwa and the start of our New Year, we would like to adopt a new initiative for HMM Marathi Shala “Reduce-Reuse-Recycle,” in the New Year. We would like to request and encourage everyone to help teach our students to adopt the “sustainability and recycling” initiative starting this new year.

Students did a craft project related to the sustainability initiative this weekend during Shala.

In keeping with this theme, we want all grown-ups to also show how much we care about sustainability and encourage ALL attendees to the Annual Gathering to bring their own labeled reusable water bottles (full name, branch, to help lost and found). We will also be using compostable plates, cups and spoons, as well as have an electronic Program Flyer instead of a printed one! Our goal is to significantly reduce the impact of our event by consciously reducing landfill trash generated. We hope you all will support this effort.
